Browser storage
Cookie Policy
LivCam stores a few things in your browser. Some of them the site can't work without. One of them is entirely up to you.

Two kinds of storage
| Kind | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you signed in to your guest account, connects calls, remembers basic settings, and stores your cookie answer. | Not without breaking the site. These run whatever you choose in the banner. |
| Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Counts visits and shows which pages people use, so we can improve them. | Yes. It is off by default and only starts after you pick "Accept". |
We don't use advertising cookies. Google's ad-related consent signals are set to "denied" from the first page load.
Before you answer
Until you click a button in the banner, analytics is treated as refused. Google Analytics gets the "denied" signal and sets no analytics cookies. Saying no costs you nothing. Every feature works the same.
Where your answer is kept
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key livcamonline:consent:v1. It stays on your device. Clearing your site data removes it, and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Because the answer lives in one browser, a different browser or another device will ask you separately. That is expected, not a bug.
Change my choice
The button clears your saved answer and brings the banner back, so you can pick again.
Your browser's own controls
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential storage may sign you out and stop calls from working. The Privacy Policy covers what happens to the data itself.
